You don't need to have it all figured out to start.
Maybe you keep ending up in the same painful dynamics. Maybe something happened that changed everything and you're still trying to make sense of it. Maybe you just know that the way things are isn't working anymore.
That's enough to begin.
I'm Genevieve, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering online therapy in Ontario for adults and teens navigating trauma, difficult relationships, anxiety, and major life transitions. My approach is direct and honest. It feels like a real conversation, not a clinical checklist.
About Me
Hi, I’m Genevieve Pasheek, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).
I bring 5 years of experience supporting adults through trauma, intimate partner violence, addiction, and complex relationship dynamics. My background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), a Social Service Worker diploma, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP). I have also worked directly in the nonprofit sector supporting survivors of domestic violence, which shapes the way I approach safety, accountability, and healing.
Therapy with me is honest, creative, sometimes a little sweary, and always real. I’m not here to fix you. I’m here to walk with you while you learn how to live on purpose.
Who I Work With
Healing from difficult experiences in relationships or life can feel overwhelming. You don't have to do it alone. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering online therapy in Ontario, I support adults and teens navigating:
I work with adults and teens (16+) across Ontario who are navigating:
- Emotionally abusive or controlling relationships
- Repeating patterns in relationships that don’t seem to change
- Trauma and major life transitions
- Anxiety, depression, or chronic stress
- Addiction or substance use
- Questions around identity, neurodivergence, or belonging
If you’ve ever felt like therapy wasn’t built for someone like you, you’re not the only one — and it doesn’t have to stay that way.
Therapy That Actually Fits Your Life
Tailored to You, Not a Template There's no one-size-fits-all approach here. Every person brings a different history, different goals, and a different pace. I build each therapy plan around what you actually need, not a standard protocol.
Private, Confidential, and Judgment-Free What you share in session stays in session. You can say the hard things, the embarrassing things, the things you've never said out loud before. This is a space where your privacy is taken seriously and your comfort matters.
Scheduling That Fits Your Life Mental health support shouldn't be another thing that's hard to access. I offer flexible appointment times, including evenings, so you can prioritize your wellbeing without rearranging everything else around it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The research on this is pretty consistent — virtual therapy produces comparable outcomes to in-person sessions for anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. Many people actually find they open up more from the comfort of their own space. You don't need to be in the same room for the work to be real.
It depends on what you're working through and how often we meet. Some people feel a meaningful shift in 8 to 12 sessions. Others choose to continue longer-term. We'll talk about what feels right for your goals in our first session and revisit it as we go.
Mostly listening. I'll ask about your history, what's brought you here, and what you're hoping to change or understand. You don't need to have a clear answer or a tidy explanation. We'll start building a picture together at whatever pace feels okay.
That's more common than you'd think, and it's worth figuring out why. Sometimes it was the wrong approach, the wrong fit, or the wrong timing. I'd rather you tell me what didn't work in the past so we can do something different. A bad experience with therapy doesn't mean therapy can't work for you.
I'm based in the Niagara Region and offer online therapy across Ontario, so location is never a barrier. Whether you're in St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Hamilton, Ottawa, or a smaller community where in-person mental health support can be hard to find, virtual sessions mean you get the same quality of care without the commute.
